Nomex Paper

High-performance aramid fibre insulation paper for elevated temperature electrical applications

Overview

Nomex paper is a premium electrical insulation material manufactured from meta-aramid fibres. It offers superior thermal stability, mechanical strength, and dielectric performance compared to cellulose-based insulation papers, making it the material of choice for high-performance and high-temperature electrical equipment.

Nomex maintains its electrical and mechanical properties at continuous operating temperatures up to 220°C, well above the capability of standard kraft paper and presspaper. It is used in motors, transformers, and electrical equipment where extended service life at elevated temperatures is required.
