High-temperature mica insulation tapes for motor and generator windings
Mica tapes are manufactured using muscovite or phlogopite mica paper laminated with glass cloth or polyester film backing and bonded with resin systems. They provide reliable high-temperature electrical insulation in tape form for wrapping and winding applications.
Mica tapes are extensively used in the insulation of motor and generator windings, particularly in applications that require fire-resistant or flame-retardant insulation. They maintain insulation integrity at temperatures where organic materials fail.
Available in resin-rich and resin-poor variants. Resin-rich tapes are used in global vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) systems.
