Pre-compressed pressboard is a high-density insulation material produced by compressing cellulose-based pressboard under controlled pressure and temperature conditions. This process significantly improves dimensional stability, mechanical strength, and resistance to shrinkage.
This material is specifically intended for demanding transformer applications where standard pressboard may not meet mechanical or long-term stability requirements. It is commonly used in large power transformers and high-voltage insulation systems.
Due to its higher density, pre-compressed pressboard offers superior resistance to mechanical stresses caused by short-circuit forces while maintaining excellent dielectric properties after oil impregnation.
It is suitable for thick sections, load-bearing insulation parts, and machined transformer components.
