Overview
Electrical grade kraft paper is manufactured from pure cellulose kraft pulp to precise thickness tolerances. It is rigorously tested to ensure consistent electrical properties and is a fundamental insulation material in transformer winding construction.
This paper provides reliable dielectric insulation between transformer windings while allowing proper oil flow for cooling. Its combination of high dielectric strength and flexibility makes it suitable for both machine winding and hand winding operations.
Transformer manufacturers rely on electrical grade kraft paper for small distribution transformers through to large power transformers. It is available in rolls in standard widths with custom slitting options to meet specific winding requirements.
