Kapton, polyester, and fiberglass adhesive insulation tapes for electrical applications
Adhesive insulation tapes include Kapton (polyimide) adhesive tapes, polyester adhesive tapes, and fiberglass adhesive tapes. Each type offers different combinations of temperature resistance, dielectric strength, and adhesive performance for specific electrical insulation applications.
Kapton tapes offer the highest temperature resistance and are used in aerospace and high-performance motor insulation. Polyester tapes offer good electrical performance at lower cost for general electrical applications. Fiberglass adhesive tapes provide additional mechanical strength.
